Sharon M. Covert
- Director
Sharon, involved with the Wellness Council of West Virginia, (WCWV), in Institute, WV since July 2003, received a BA in English from Marshall University where she also completed the Masters of Science coursework in Exercise Physiology. Sharon has worked in the field of wellness since 1992, designing health and wellness plans, employee benefit plans and corporate wellness tools. She speaks regularly on the importance of healthy lifestyle choices and recently shared information on WV Premier Wellness Initiatives at the 16th Annual Art & Science of Health Promotion Conference hosted by the American Journal of Health Promotion. Sharon has been active in several local and state initiatives to improve the quality of life in West Virginia and was recently named one of Generation Next, (WV’s 40 Up and coming executives under 40), by The State Journal. Barbara Graley
- Administrative Assistant
Barbara has more than 20 years of experience in the administrative field. For most of her career she worked as an administrative assistant for a major public utility. Patty is a
graduate of Marshall University with a Masters Degree in Counseling with a
Substance Abuse emphasis. Patty’s experience includes group therapy work with all populations with a strong emphasis on Behavior Modification incorporating Choice therapy practices. Patty resides in Charleston with her husband and teenaged daughter as well as her two dogs. An avid community volunteer, Patty has devoted the last decade of her life to improve the quality of life for at risk individuals in areas of both education and health. patty.deutsch@wcwv.org |

Webster - Tobacco
Coordinator
Sue’s background is primarily in the field of Human Resources having been employed as Director of Human Resources for a national marketing firm for over 9 years and received certification in the field of Human Resource Management. Sue strives for wellness in her own life through pursuing physical fitness and proper nutrition. sue.webster@wcwv.org |

Catherine holds a Master of Public Policy from Rutgers University and has over twenty years experience in human service, public management, and staff development. She also served in Guatemala with the Peace Corps. She lives in Morgantown where her husband is a member of the WVU biology faculty. Tobacco Prevention Coalition Coordinator
James received his Board of Regents degree from West Virginia State College in August of 2001. He has worked in tobacco prevention for the past 8 years. James comes to us from the West Virginia Division of Tobacco Prevention where he was the Clean Indoor Air Program Coordinator. While there James developed and implemented the “Against Tobacco” program which focuses on 18-24 year old college students. James is very excited to help the citizens of Putnam, Kanawha, Boone, Jackson and Clay counties improve their access to safe and Clean Indoor Air. James.Vance@wcwv.org |
